After wiping out excess liquid, much of the coffee stains can disappear after blotting it with some drops of a regular dish soap or dish detergent and water. You can remove tougher coffee stains with the help of dry-cleaning solvents. Here’re the steps to follow on how to remove coffee stains from a couch.

Step 1

As soon as coffee spills on your coach, soak the spot with a wet towel. Do this before the spot dries. Allowing the coffee to soak and dry on your couch will make it more challenging to remove the coffee stains.

Step 2

Measure one tablespoon of your favorite liquid dish soap or dish detergent and mix it with two cups of water. Preferably, use cold water. Wet a towel, preferably a white one, with the water and detergent mixture.

Step 3

Use the soapy white towel to blot the stained spot. By doing this, the stain will lighten. It does so by soaking up the spilled coffee. Once the towel gets soaked, wring it out into a sink or bowl.

Step 4

Continue wetting the spot with soapy water until it clears. Next, take a clean white towel and wet it with water. Blot the spot you cleared the stain to clean the soap you applied.

Step 5

If the dish detergent fails to remove the coffee stain completely, try to remove it with a dry-cleaning solvent.
