  • 3 heaped teaspoons of Cothas filter coffee powder
  • 2 cups milk
  • ½ cup water
  • 1 teaspoon Sugar (optional)
  • Stainless steel coffee filter

Instructions

Step 1- First, bring water to a rolling boil in a saucepan placed on a stovetop.

Step 2- Take the coffee filter. Add 3 heaped teaspoons of Cothas coffee powder into the upper chamber of the filter.

Step 3- Press the powder gently into the filter with your hand. You can use a pressing disc to press it down further. However, avoid pressing it too hard as it will reduce the speed of dripping.

Step 4- Add the boiled water and close the filter with its lid.

Step 5- Keep the filter undisturbed for about 10 to 15 minutes.

Step 6- Boil 2 cups of milk in a saucepan.

Step 7- Once 10 minutes are over, open the filter lid. What you will get is a Cothas coffee decoction.

Step 8- Pour the decoction into a container. You can collect a second decoction by adding boiled water to the coffee filter and brewing for another 10 to 15 minutes.

Step 9- Neutralize 2 to 3 tablespoons of the decoction with the milk. Froth it properly. You now have ready Cothas coffee. Serve it while hot, preferably in a tumbler and dabara.
